onset of symtoms age 4, can this be CP

Post a new topicby vickicotton1 on Mon Aug 25, 2008 12:10 pm

My darling grandaughter was as perfect as could be this time 2 weeks ago. Now, she has begun showing very strange symptoms. She has started walking sideways, leaning to either the right and left. She has very little balance, she is having tremors in her little legs when she is stretching to reach something, and this morning, she is even drooling. She has always walked on her tip toes, which we all just thought was a habit, and her speech has never been really good, especially for her age. Could these have been signs of something to come that we should have been concerned about a long time ago? She also complains that she's dizzy and is having trouble walking straight. She litterally looks "drunk". Is this CP? Can it just now be showing its ugly head? As I post this, she's being admitted for further testing at the hospital.
