Here are my symptoms.....I am a 39 year old male. I first noticed these symptoms about nine months ago, and they are listed in the order they appear. The symptoms do not "come and go", and I have no periods when I feel stronger. The only pain I experience is from the cramps. I have no loss of sensation in my hand or arm.
1) Increasing weakness and loss of coordination in right hand and arm. Early signs of coordination loss in left hand. Right hand occasionally drops things, and fingers have difficulty manipulating small objects, such as dialing a cellular phone. 2) Constant tremor in right hand, with all five fingers shaking. When right hand rests on flat surface, tremor is visible, rippling through the skin on the web between the thumb and fore finger. 3) Right hand/fingers cramp, sometimes spontaneously, often when hand makes intentional movement, as in to a pocket. Usually confined to thumb and little finger, index and middle finger occasionally decide to join in. I had an emg about three months ago which showed "diffuse ulnar neuropathy, axonal type". All blood tests came back within normal limits, including thyroid. I had a 24-hour urine collection for heavy metal poisoning, which was negative. I am not diabetic. I had an MRI last week, and am awaiting the results. Any thoughts?
