Pain Under Scalp and Ear

Post a new topicby finewine82 on Thu Aug 23, 2007 11:26 pm

I am a 64 year old male who recently had a heart attack and had 3 stints put in various veins. I recently started to have severe shooting pain under the scalp on the right side of the back of my head. I have no fever, no headaches, no eye pain. The pain is very sharp, and speradic. It has since moved to the left side of the head. It feels like it is just under the skin, but when applying pressure, does not hurt there, but seems to be just under the bone in the head. I have checked with the doctor and he has no idea what is the cause or what can be done, so he did nothing. Said if it continues to come back. It has continued for the past 2 days. I can stop the pain temporarily with pain pills. If anyone has had the same problem, please let me know what you did to get rid of the pain and cure the problem. Thank you.

I have the same problem and I am a 29 year old female with no heart problems. I think mine is due to something being out of place in my neck. I am going to try going to a chiropractor. Good luck!
