Very ConfusedMy neurologist told me I had ALS in Nov.07! I have tongue fasiculations, fasiculations in my right arm and leg. My right arm and leg are getting weak, and I am having trouble holding and gripping objects! My limbs jerk, and I am on a feeding tube because I basically am now unable to swallow a lot of foods! Alot of what I eat has to be pureed! On Feb.8, My General Practitioner put me on 2 liters of oxygen because my oxygen level has dropped into the 70's! I have an appointment with a Pulmonologist the end of April! I did go see a specialist at Cleveland Clinic, and he took blood tests, and a cervical MRI! He called me and told me that all I have is Benign Fasiculations! The rest is all in my head!
I went back to my Neurologist 2 weeks ago, and he said "So you dont have ALS! I said OK! GREAT! Then what is wrong with me? I do not believe this is just benign fasiculations! He looked at me and said, "Well, quite frankly, I dont know what is wrong with you! I said OK, what are we going to do to find out what is causing all this to happen to my body? He looked at me and said, "I told you! I dont know what is wrong with you!", and he picked up my records and walked out of the office. I am very confused! I cannot find anyone to help find out what is wrong! Could this be ALS? I am on medicaid and cannot go to anymore doctors! What should I do? Vinci
