He was tested when he was a little over a year old and we have had him do all kinds of therapies since 9 months. We don't have a very high income whatsoever but United Cerebal Palsy has been a Godsend. When Johnny gets into his tantrums we scoop him up (which is getter harder by the day because he is a healthy seven year old boy) and we reach around him and just squeeze. We don't squeeze hard at all but the tightening sensation that he feels helps. After he calms down a bit we have him sit on our lap and we just glide our fingers up and down his forearms. Its a soothing sensation that he likes. Living with him is hard and I do have a brother who is younger than him. You just have to cope and try to make the best of things. See if your area has something like a United Cerebral Palsy Center. They will help with everything. Teach your families things as well as your son. It's hard but it's life.
