hi, i had a fusion of the L5-S1 in Sept 08, i started physical therapy a month ago. I can honestly say the therapy is not helping my back. It has helped me to stretch muscles that i haven't used in awhile but i honestly feel worse then before my surgery, not because of the therapy but i think the surgery messed my back up even more. My doc says there is a chance that he might have to go back in, Great! When i see him in feb if it feels the same i'll get a cat scan to see if they find any other problems and im also having problems with my joints in my hips as a result of this surgery. I'm not having fun. I just wanted to let you know that your not alone, i wish a had a cure or some answers but i dont. Good luck and God Speed. Betsy
