chronic lower back painHi guys, hope you're doing well. You see i've had chronic back pain for almost 4 years now. And it happened since I carried a huge monitor, I didn't hear any cracking or anything when i did it but 2 days later I had immense lower back pain. I went to the doctor and he told me I didn't carry it the right way (which obviously I knew that) and so they gave me a shot (i don't remember what it was) and that was that. The pain lowered down but never went away. I have gone to that same doctor 3 times already and he orders xrays and all and says that I'm all fine, that there's nothing wrong with me and he just gives me pain pills for like two months and says that it will eventually go away if I exercize periodically and take the pills. I have been exercizing and since I don't see any difference in pain i stop taking the pills 2 weeks later. I still have the pain. He's a well known traumatologist in my area so I trust him, but the pain hasn't gone. I also saw another one, he also told me I was fine, he recommended I do abdominal exercises, i also do that and doesn't work for anything. The pain is a constant pain that doesn't interfere with my flexibility or movement, I can do anything, just that the pain is there, always. I've also noticed that when I do squats with weights, the next day it hurts a lot more. So what do you guys recommend? Should I see another type of doctor? Do you think it's curable? Or am I going to live like this for the rest of my life, i'm barely 24 years old and it's really sad that i'm already feeling like some one in the third age. I highly appreciate your response.
Re: chronic lower back painHi, I'd suggest an MRI, its going to see more than an X-ray....hope you're insurance will pay for it!
