Back Pain

Hi All,
I am new to this forum and have a few questions ? 3 years ago I was involved in an ATV accident
and broke 5 ribs and 5 lower vertebrates and my pelvic bone. While it took me several months to recuperate, I slowly got back on my feet, I still have numbness in my lower back and it feels like there is a baseball in my lower back a lot of times. Now I have a new symptom when I bend forward to pick up something on the floor my right heel will have a sharp pain in it. I brushed it off for about a week now thinking it would go away, but now it seems to be getting worse, I cannot use the brake in my car with right foot, I use the left now. Anyone have any suggestions on what this might be? I have made an appointment with the orthopedic doctor but cannot get in until another 3 weeks, and this seems to be getting worse all the time.
