Back Pain

Hello I am new to this forum and have a question I hope someone may be able to help me with. I have chronic pain issues, DDD herniations @L2-3 L4-5 withL5 radiculopathy and C4-5 C5-6 with impingment along with osteoarthritis in both knees and recently had Carpal Tunnel surgery on both hands. I take or had been taking Morphine Sulfate 60mg 2x's a day and Morphine Sulfate immediate release 30mg up to 4x's a day for breakthrough pain BTP. Until february I have never had any issue with filling my meds before. Then I went to get my MSIR filled and no one in Toledo had any at all, so I called my doctor and he replaced with Endocet 10/325 for BTP and increased my MS ER 60's to 3 times a day, so now this month I am having the same issue with the er 60's the pharmacists I have talked to tell me there is a shortage and all their morphine is on backorder. Has anyone else had this issue and if si how did you handle it. My doctor is really great and says we can write for any number of different meds but he doesn't know what my insurance will cover and when I call them they say we can't tell your doctor what to prescibe ???
If anyone can help please reply, Thank you and may we all find some sort of peace and comfort which doesn't not come easily for people with chronic pain.
