18 months ago my doctor said i had bellspalsy my face is dropped i cant smile cant raise my right eyebrow cant show all my teeth and i get painful headaches i also get pins and needles in my arms and legs 3 months ago i had a mri and a lumberpunture the scan was clear but the lp showed raised protien my doc says i need a second mri were they inject a dye into me but i have to wait 8 months my doc mentoined ms but said the nureo thinks it could be chronic granulomatous process what do you think because i cant wait 8 months also i thought raised protien was a clear sign for ms thanks for a swift reply stephen

It sounds like further studies are needed. An increase in protein in the spinal fluid is non-specific, and can be seen with many different disorders including infections, diabetes, inflammatory disorders and MS. MRI with Gadolinium injected should be done if your neurologsit suggested it, and an evaluation inot why you are having pins and needles in your extremities should also be done.
