any try herbal remedies for bell's palsy?

Hi, I was just diagnosed early this morning with Bells Palsy I was put on acyclovir and prednisone. I have checked into accupuncture and it is pretty expensive. I was wondering if any has taken any herbal remedies with any success? Thanks
