bells palsy

I have had bp twice in my life..Once in jr high for 2 weeks then the next time when I was 19..The second time was very painful and it has never completly gone away and I am now 49..Got any ideas why I have had this so long?????

Bells palsy may be associated with pain in the acute setting, but it would be very unusual for thet pain to be long-standing as you describe. I would seek a neurological evaluation if it is disturbing to you.

I did not make myself clear I guess..The second time I got bp the severe pain I had finally went away..But my face does hurt when I am in very cold weather..My face is not drawn near as bad as it was all those years ago..And some people do not know I have it till I tell them..But my eye and mouth is still messed up some..At my job I have to take CPR classes and with the bp I just have to do the best I can with my limitations..It really gets frustrating at times..But then again it could be worse...Thanks for listening....
