hi..i am in day 3 of bp...lots of eye watering..i can close eye ce a blink..only half a smile..been taking predisone all 3 days...going to neurolgist today seeking help..i cant afd to miss much work..i am in sales.if only my eye would constantly water iwould be ok,,will a neurologist help me?thank

The neurologist will likely confirm that it is Bells Palsy, and rule out other disorders. If it is definetly BP, it will take some time to heal. In some cases, specialized facial exercises are recommended. Patching and protecting the eye and keeping it well lubricated, especially at night is also recommended.

yes..she ruled out everything else..and she put me on acyclovir 800mg...i am getting back some feeling in mouth.tingling sensation...she said that is good news.so between prednisone & acyclovir i should hopefully get well soon.thank for your input.
