Electrical Stimulations for Bells Palsy

Hello, I have had Bell's Palsy since April 15, 2008. I've done acupunture and Predisone. Has anyone tried Electrical Muscle Stimulator?

My friend used a hand held electical stimulator on my face. I used it at home daily for about 3 weeks. I didn't notice much change but I did have friends say my face looked more symetrical. I believe that it helps the muscles so it's worth a shot to try it. I also manually moved the muscles in my face to keep them healthy.

Don't do it! Electrical stimulation is NOT a good idea. Let your body heal, don't zap a damaged nerve with electricity. All it does is make your muscles jump around, and create a perfect opportunity for your nerves to heal incorrectly, causing cross wiring and permanent residual effects.
