Positve update

Post a new topicby islandgirl on Sat Jun 27, 2009 2:56 am

It's been about 3 months since I developed Bells Palsy and I am happy to report that I think I've recovered from it almost 100%. I wanted to share my success to give hope to anyone who has just been afflicted with this condition, I know how desperate and frightened I felt the first few weeks and reading positive stories of recovery got me through some of the rough patches. This is a great site and I hope people who have recovered come back and share their stories. Even though I pretty much feel like my old self again, I can still vividly remember how BP affected me emotionally at the onset of it, and my thoughts and prayers go out to anyone who has or is still suffering. The fear of a re-occurence always looms in my mind, but in most cases it does go away on it's own, just be patient and take care of yourself!
