Re: What medication should be taken for BP

Post a new topicby Tizz on Sat Mar 28, 2009 12:28 pm

Well today is the 17th day with BP and the longest I have ever had it.
Im still seeing improvement and as far as I can tell my eye is closing
when I sleep except for a tiny bit so I am still wearing the eye patch
at night just to be safe. When I blink,The eye still doesn't shut and has
very little movement when I do blink. Im still having pain in the face,
jaw and behind my ear.
Once I get back to work and have insurance again I will see if I can get
an MRI done and make sure this is not another condition other then BP
and I want to find out why I keep having BP. It just doesn't seem normal
to me for a person to have it as many times as I have for no apparent
reason. Anyway, will keep you updated on my condition.

Hello,
I was also given Valtrex for BP. It did nothing for me. I have had this horrible condition for 2wks now. My symptoms are getting better now that I have been taking vitamins and getting regular massages also some chiropractic adjustments. Really I don't think there is any cure just try to strengthen your immune system and stay stress free. Best of luck and the massages do help.

I’m on day 12 with BP with no change at this time. my pain started in my neck, I thought I just slept wrong but two days later I had ear pain, so I went to the Quick care and I was told I had a neck sprung and the pain in my ear is just spasms from the sprang neck . Oh and the twitch above my lip & the taste buds being gone on one side means nothing. By the next morning I had full paralysis on my left side of the face. I rush to the hospital (I thought I was having a stroke) and was told by the Dr I had Bells Palsy. I was given Anti-virus meds, steroids and light pain meds. The bad ear pain never went away (which makes me sensitive to sound) but did hurt less while I was taking the steroids. Once the steroids were gone the pain came back stronger. I was then given Percocet 10-325(stronger pain meds), steroids again and ref to a therapist. The job I currently have (Customer services) my duties are being able to hear, talk and look at a computer all day. How is this possibly with my speech, eyes and ear problems? HELP!!!! Some advice will go a long way. Good luck to everyone experiencing this.
