Re: my best friend is dying–I'm so sorry to hear about your "best friend". It is so hard to put into words how I feel. I'm going through it with my best friend. She was diagnosed Aug. 26 with breast cancer. It spread to her lung. We thought we had it contained. Two weeks ago she started having seizures and forgetting things. She would easily stumble and fall. I took her to the emergency room and we soon found out she has 13 tumors in her brain. The biggest one is 1 inch. We have been friends for 6 years. Like you she and I have a strong faith but sometimes that just seems so distant. My mom and son have been a tremendous help but her family has done nothing. Her kids don't even call her. I just lost my dad to bladder cancer in March of 2006. It's like going through it again as his too went to the brain.
It's scary. I hope you have people in your church and friends who are helping you go through this. You can't do it alone. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I know from experience it's not easy. fwoggy
