father with brain cancer

Post a new topicby joan on Sun Nov 04, 2007 6:09 pm

My father has brain cancer and is having spells where he keeps falling. He also has blood pressure issues where it is going up and down all the time. THey want to try a new chemo on him at 81 years old called 5FU and I don't know it he can survive through chemo He already is so weak that he can't walk by himself and weighs 111 pounds.
Has anyone else experienced this and do you have any advice? I am scared and my mom can hardly take care of him at home anymore..

hello,

i want to tell you that i am sorry.I am not the appropriate person to assist but what do the doctors say?the age ang weigh of your father might be a problem.my suggestion is to find the less painful method because i am sure your father had already enough.Good luck!
