carpul tunnel

Post a new topicby livingwith on Sat Sep 22, 2007 8:52 am

I had my surgery done on both wrists 9 years ago. It was due to work related stress. I healed fine and have no more pain. I have weakness in my wrists and have a hard time opening a bottle. I can’t carry anything to heavy without losing strength. I can’t write for very long before my wrists are weak. I have began a new job and I use my wrists alot. If I use my wrists too much, I feel an ache and they feel weak. I have heard that carpul tunnel can come back, but I am not sure if that ...Read the full article

I read your article, and wasn't sure if anyone had responded to it or not? I am 32 years old,and had carpal tunnel surgery on right hand about 8-10 years ago,and not sure I can answer for anyone else, but in my case I never got complete relief after the surgery! It may have felt a little better, but not much dofferent at all! So I never went back to have left hand done, and am regreting it now! I just recently had emg testing and have severe carpal tunnel in both hands/wrists! It is really severe.rhink I may have let it go too long! Can barely put my daughtes hair in a pony tail! Can't make a tight fist, and suffer day and night with pain and numbness! I awake several times nightly in pain! I'm seeing a neurologist on the 29th of this month, not sure what is gonna hapen from there? But just wanted to let you know my right hand is worsr now then before I had surgery before. Hope this might help you?
