It was my first pregnancy, in 1978, and I was so happy. My pregnancy prgressed normally, but something was wrong. I didn’t know it at the time, but my little girl had anencephaly.
My doctor began thinking something was wrong when I didn’t go into labor. I was due on April 19th and Courtney wasn’t born until May 18th.
We went to the hospital and I was sent to xray. They couldn’t feel her head and I knew something was wrong.
