Carol,

As a grandmother of a three-year-old little girl with mild CP, I found your posting very encouraging. Although my granddaughter has come such a long way, she still has balance and coordination issues. Her speech is difficult for those other than family to understand. Looking ahead, I think about how she will be treated by her peers when she reaches school age. As we all know, kids can be very cruel to someone who is 'different' than themselves. Would you be so kind as to share with me what school was like for you from elementary through high school and college? Thanks so much for sharing your story.

Regards,
Janie
