Daughter with cp doing something strange need help

Post a new topicby scaruso78 on Sun Jan 04, 2009 11:10 pm

My daughter has a preliminary diagnosis of cp. She is a preemie that is now 9 months old. She is in physical, occupational and speech therapy. She moves all limbs but occasionally gets stiff legs. She has just started doing something strange and I don't know if its a mild seizure. She all of a sudden will turn her head to the left, pucker up her lips (like if she had something sour) and get stiff.this only lasts like 2 seconds but she will do it three or more times in a row. Is this like a seizure of some sort or muscle spasm???? She sees her pedi in a few days but doesn't see her neuro until jan. 22. Should I call the neuro sooner??? PLEASE HELP!!!!

To the brave mother,

I am a brother of a sister who have CP. Her right hand and ankle are effected. Though, her brain is alright.... she even completed College.

I am her younger brother.... searching the net for a possible cure. Everywhere I go, they say that there is no cure. Do you also believe that there cant be any cure? Why does this have to be like this?

In this forum....mosts posts I see have no replies. I really dont know where to knock really. I hope I dont see her always in this condition....and they age quicker....they get weaker....and I presume they die quicker aswell.

I dont know... will I ever be able to help her. Are you also searching for possibilities? If so, will you give me some clues?...I am also looking for possibilities.

I wish your daughter well....never wait to call the doctor.... call them at any doubt.
