flying a plane, with CPhi there, im a 19yr old male, i have (mild) right sided hemiplegia, mostly affecting my right hand, but again, midley.
Iv always wanted to fly but have always been confronted with the issue of a medical certificate pass to allow me. Specifically i wish to be a paraglider and glider pilot and believe i have a good shot at being so campared to flying a powered aircraft, due to the cockpit setups and the fact i have pretty good motor skills with respect to CP. Im aware though, as is such things in life, that one look at me an the doc will say no to the flying, yet as im sure most of you have experinced, what you know you can do and what someone says you can do are two very different things. im just wondering if anyone has any specific experience in this department, or knows of people who do, iv searched the web and found only one succses story of this nature, so I guess its quite hard to fly. This is probaly a pretty uncommon CP issue or whatever but if anyone wishes to help out thatd be cool. thanks alot.
Re: flying a plane, with CPI think its great that you are pursuing flying. I wish i could help but I don't know very much about cp as it is. My daughter is only nine months but I hope that she pursues every dream she has even if it is flying! maybe you can pave the pathway for otherswho share your dreams! Good luck! Please document so others can learn from your experiences.
