When your spouse has diabetes

It is an extremely hopeless feeling when your spouse has a severe case of diabetes and you see the severe symptoms manifesting themselves and you can’t do anything about it. The belief that the healing will bring everything back is what you hope for but the reality is that the disease is degenerative and the body won’t be the same anymore. I have had it since 1989 and was just diagnosed with charcots after I broke my ankle in July. This is the last thing I thought would happen and can certainly empathize with what you are feeling for your wife.
