Lisa,
I'm a 30 yr old male with CMT and, like you, my disease has gotten worse over the years. I've had many surgeries to correct the problems and all of the surgeries have left me in better shape than when I started. Although they helped, they did not live up to my hopes until I found the best doctor for the case. He corrected more in one surgery on each foot than my previous doctor did in four attempts. My suggeston to you is to do some background research on your doctors previous work in cases such as ours. If he does not have any previous history in these cases, then you might need to find a doctor that has experience. Unfortunately, there is no cure for CMT, but there is always hope.
