Re: chronic fatigue / epstein barrI have had a fatigue that plagues my body. I also have Fibromyalgia. The fatigue I have been experiencing since I was in high school periodically until now. (I am 27) My dr just found I was borderline Hypothyroidism and put my on Levothyroxine, but I found a dr.lowe's website who beleives Fibro and Hypothyroidism is linked and can be treated or possibly cured with his treatment protocol. BUT I have been experiencing this fatigue and on a scale of 1 -10, 10 being incapable to take care of myself. I experience a 1-7 often but have had it at a 10 once. It was SO bad I couldn't move or take care of my two little children. It felt as if my muscles were filled with cement and were incredible EXHAUSTED. It would not improve with rest and luckily at it's worst only lasted about 1 1/2 days. Rest does nothing to help, and even if I lay still and do not move a muscle they still feel just as tired! I am a very active person but this exhaustion immobalizes me. Is this how you feel? Do you think it's chronic fatigue? Is it possible to be a form of Mitochondrial muscle myopathy I am searching and searching for answers! Thanks, Christi
Re: chronic fatigue / epstein barrEver since I remembered I would get these fever spells as though I'm burning up especially my hands and legs the rest of my body seemed okay. After I had my son at age 30 it worsened and the tiredness began presently it occurs daily the more I rest the more i'm tired, I cn fall asleep during and explosion. I also have terrible mood swings, crying spells as well as i'm putting on weight tremendously even if I don't eat. I am also hyperglycemic and it is worse after an episode (which occurs at least twice per day and more often just before my menstrual cycle). I just started reading about chronic fatigue and searching to find out if this could be the cause. Sharon
