female problems, any ideas?

Post a new topicby Willow on Mon Nov 12, 2007 10:01 am

Hello I am a 37 yr old female and I am having trubbles with my monthly cycle. I haven't had a normal cycle since the last day of my cycle on August 16. By normal I mean 7 days, heavy cycle. in September nothin, In October i had very lite spotting for 1.5 days. when my cycle should be coming I am having very bad pains in my tummy. I am havin some pain in tummy area between times but worse around ovulation time. I had 2 pregnancy tests, by the way I had my tubes clamped almost 11 yrs ago. The tests are negative. My Doctor says if *I do not have monthly by the time I go back to him the end of this monthhe is going to gie me something to kick start my cycle. I am thinking I shouldn't allow him to do that until some tests or something is done to tell us if there is something wrong or not. ANY IDEAS? ANYONE? I'd like to know what's wrong with me b4 the Doctor tries the kik-start thing, if anyone has gone through something similiar I'd like to know. I know my own body and I know there is something wrong, I just have no idea what. Anything anyone can tell me would be greatly appreciated.

I'm 40 & have had irregular periods the last year, lots of clots, sometimes my spotting went up to 30 days before my cycle started again, I have a dull pelvic ache, which I swore was due to this period thing & I wasn't open to any other suggestions, I thought I had to be right.

I had surgery Feb 1 D & C, Novasure, where they burn the lining of the uterus to stop uncontrollable bleeding, laporoscopy to look for pelvic pain & a tubal. I haven't had my next cycle yet to say if my bleeding has stopped, since the surgery my pelvic pain has returned, during my follow up I mentioned this to my obgyn (who I like & respect) & he told me its not a female issue, check with a gastro doctor.

so I've been on that search since August of 07, even told I had a hernia, which I didn't, ct scans reveiled i didn't have diverticulitis, I wish you well, sometimes this road is long & many emotional ups & downs. So don't get to excited about what any says-- there's alot to rule out. Now my search is with the gastro doctor, we're trying meds for irritable bowel, I do wish you luck.
