how important is CSF fluid . I ask cause my 15yr old son has had a traumatic brain injury [bike versus car he was the bike]He has a ventriculoscopy. at one point on his return from the O.R. excess darining occured leading his head to appear shruken where removal of the skull flaps occured . It was his second procedure pertaining to the ventricules . The ventriculosscopy was oringinaly inserted on the left side of the brainafter three weeks and a yeast infection it was removed and a new one was installed on the right side of his brain . It was during the return from the O.R. from the second ventriculoscopy that the O.R . team did not take steps to keep the drain from being to low in effect allowing excess CSF fluid to drain into the drain bag. Does any one have any information or experience with the CSF fluid and the dangers if any of excess draining. thank you my name is Tom and my E.mail is whacko@optonline.net
