In a coma with brain damage but responding?
I have a young friend who was in a horrific accident on the weekend. Left paralysed and with severe brain damage (left side especially bad) and after the ct the doctors told us that they don't have a lot of hope for him waking up. Why then is he moving his arms and it seems he is following us with his right eye? When you talk to him he responded with squeezing your hand? The doctors recon we shouldn't get our hopes up, but how can we not?
