Degenerative Disc Disease

i am a 39 yr old female. when i was 15 i broke my neck in a horse accident. after many more, and several car wrecks, i was recently diagnosed with ddd [degenerative disc disease]. The pain is almost unbearable at times. the pain medication i take doesnt really help that much. i hate to think of a future full of pain. sometimes i am down right miserable, if some one can help me learn how to deal with this terrible disease please tell ur story
