what is MID dementia and how is it diagnosed? I believe my aunt has dementia caused by several tia's , htn, history of smoking. she is very repetitive, cannot remember anything short term, like me going to work, and is being treaed for somatic delusional disorder with 0.5 mg risperdal am and pm. She was in Columbus, Ga., but there is no one there to even come see her in the personal care facility. Her son is there but he has stage iv lung cancer ..never smoked. What is her prognosis? I am looking for the best memory care facility that her SS, small pension, and VA benefits can provide. Any suggestions from anyone. I have no help. I am by myself.
