sleep v/ coma state

I am searching for any information re; coma like symptoms.
Symptoms are:

1. Cannot wake up.

2. Can hear your surroundings, and unable to speak or move.

3. Alot of energy and concentration to move any part of the body.

My son has the same problem - he CAN'T wake up - I see you posted in 2005 have you found anything to help with your problem? What is this sleep disorder called?

I have waking dreams exactly like the state you describe. Usually, it is accompanied with intense feelings of either fear or a floating euphoria, but I can not move even though I am awake in the room. I'm told I sleep with my eyes open so maybe that's what's happening. Not sure that will help...
