voices, singing with dementiaMy mother is 95 and has dementia, she also has sinus, she has been hearing voices and an old man or woman singing. Ww recently moved which has been hard for her. She hears voices alot which is really bothering me. Is this normal?> Will it continue to get worse? Thank You, elaine
Re: voices, singing with dementiaIt is not uncommon for persons with dementia to have hallucinations; this may also be seen in those with significant hearing impairment. Her doctor should be made aware of these symptoms, so that if necessary, medications can be presecribed which can reduce the auditory symptoms.
