EEGs

Post a new topicby Rachel on Sat Nov 15, 2008 12:20 am

HI all I have epilepsy and none of my EEGs have come back normal. Even the Video EEGs were abnormal. I have what is reffered to as TLE or Temporal Lobe Epilepsy It is in my left lobe.

I have had about 8 EEGs. 4 ofthem were included in my 2 video EEGs as sleep-deprived EEGs. Duringthe first 2 ever EEGs I had seizures during them. They were also sleep-deprived EEGs.

THe only onethat ever came back normal was the ambulatory EEG. but it was just and overnight take home harness type thing. Not enough time with me and my meds were never taken away during that time,so I was still being partly controlled.

I have intractable epilepsy. I take 4 drugs adn have the VNS implant. I belong to that group on here,as well as epilepsy adn seizures. I justthought I would drop in on this one and tell you about my experiences with EEGs.

Anyone else have abnorramal experinces with EEGs? I had a car accident in dec of 02 adn hit a tree head on and hada head injuryadn whip lash as well a sother broken bones. That was going on 7 years now and that is how I debeloped Epilepsy through head trauma.
