Need Help With DiagnosisHi my name is Greg I am 25 years old, this is my first post and im looking for some help. I am a mechanic and work on my feet eight hours a day M-F. About four years ago I had early symptoms of plantar fasciitis I received custom orthodics from a podiatrist and they were worth every penny, foot pain gone. Until about a two months ago when I started feeling that pain first thing when getting out of bed in the morning. Only this time I have a large lump on the inside of my right foot about 4-5 oclock from the bottom of my tibia. its not colored like a bruise and the pain and swelling goes away once i get started moving at work, ive tried countless pairs of shoes from $20-$120 they all aggravate it. I have yet to go to a Podiatrist because I am currently in school and cannot afford health insurance. I belive this may be Achilles Tendonitis but the location of the pain and "lump" are inconsistent with the symptoms. Looking for some much needed help.
Thanks in advance -Greg
Re: Need Help With DiagnosisI do not know what this is but I have had a ruptured achilles tendon and suffered from achilles tendonitis. It does not go away with activity. It gets worse to the point that you can't wear shoes or walk. The treatment was immobilization with a Bledsoe boot for many months.
