Radiographic contrast induced kidney pain

Post a new topicby lisathuler on Sun Aug 24, 2008 5:54 pm

I have had to go through a series of MRI's and CTscans seeking for a tumor which thank God was not there. However, after each exam, I began to have increasing pain and cloudy urine. Although the exams were well spaced and there were months in between them, nonetheless, the pain has become increasing in intesity as each exam was done. The last exam I had to do, my urine was tested before and after and it was proven that the constrast element caused a rise in the white blood cells as well as acidity of my urine. My creatine tests all are normal, however. I am concerned that this is causing damage and of long-term effects. Is there a medical opinion as to this situation and what can be done to protect me with future tests? Thank you!
