Does anybody else …?

Have warning before? If you stop what you’re doing & hide from the stimulus can you avoid the seizure? Have you ever experienced temporary blindness with a seizure? Have you had problems with seizures in life, then none for 15 yrs or so & then again - with a revence!? Do lights bother anyone? Has anyone been diagnosed with a Pineal gland problem? Has anyone actually been helped with Topamax & been able to stay on it? Has anyone found it to be hereditary? Take care all, Chey

When I go to concerts that have elaborate lighting my vision will fade out as if I'm going to pass out but, instead I'll just go blind. I'm perfectly conscious just completely blind. When I feel it coming on I'll look down or try to start working my way out of the crowd but I still go blind. Then a few minutes after being completely blind my vision will come back. I recently saw an eye doctor who said my eyes look fine and he refered me to a neurologist, who I haven't seen yet. I know this probaly doesn't help you out a lot , but it does sound like my experience.

I started having seizures in my sleep when I was 30. All the tests and nothing to pin it to. That's the answer more times than not, I'm finding out. I got settled into my meds and was seizure free for almost 4 yrs, then had another one, during the day. My point with this is that I've had aura's during the day that have freaked me out and scared me at times, but I've felt I've been able to recognize the aura and "ride it out?" I'm not sure how to explain it, but knowing someone else may have experienced the same thing makes me feel as if someone may actually be able to really understand what I mean. my problem now is that I did have my first daytime seizure now and it concerns me. I feel like my next one is just around the corner now. Having had all my other seizures in my sleep, which I only had maybe 4 or 5 before I was able to control them for a while, made me feel that I probably wasn't going to have them at any other time. There are no gaurentees with seizures I'm finding out.
