Epilepsy, no more seizuresI have had epilepsy since I was 9 yrs. The only time a had a seizure was before, during or after my monthly period. I told the doctor this and he said it was a build up fluid. I currently take Lamictal and Primidone everyday. I am 66yrs old. I have not a seizure since February 1976. If you live anywhere near Spokane, WA. I strongly suggest you try to Dr. Britt. He is the best. Goodluck, Barbara

Re: Epilepsy, no more seizuresHi Barbara, I'm a 16 yr old girl that lives in England. I have epilepsy that I've had since I was 4. Although epilepsy seems a major condition to anyone else, it's actually one of my minor conditions. I have epilepsy, type 1 diabetes, hydrocephalus and low blood pressure. I was born 8 weeks early with exomphalous. I have recovered from that but I have a huge scar from the top of my torso down to my belly button.
Doctors aren't sure what kind of epilepsy I have because I have symptoms of tonic-clonic, tonic and juvenile seizures. I have been put on some epilepsy medication but it doesn't really help that much. Without it I end up in hospital about 6 or 7 times a month, with it I'm admitted 3 or 4 times a month. So it doesn't help that much. I'm so glad that here in England we have the NHS (National Health Service), which is free, because without it I'd be thousands of pounds in debt. Your Sincerely, Indiana-Tiaami
Re: Epilepsy, no more seizuresWhen you say a 'build-up fluid' was that caused by the cycle, and then did the seizures stop, because of menopause?
My seizures seemed to have always followed the cycle pattern, but kept to it after menopause, but I have always believed that it was a build-up of 'something'. Michele - UK
