I am on Keepra, I started taking it in 2007, my initial diagnosis: complex partial seizures, I started with 500mg twice a day, the most glaring side effect was and is aggression, confusion and most definately being unbalanced while walking. My short term memory is shot. I was up to 3000mg of Keepra daily, my seizures increased dramatically the drug just stopped working for me, I am decreasing my Keepra dosage (1000mg per day) according to my doctor's orders and am being put on Lamictal 300mg per day, however I am still having seizures, not as frequent but they are still happening. I'm trying to learn how to function with epilespy, it's been 2 yrs now. From what I understand short term memory loss is normal along with the balance thing. All in all I would say Keepra is a good drug other than the side effects, it keep me seizure free for almost a year.
