Hi. Do you mean you lose your balance just prior to a seizure? Or as part of everyday life? Do you feel dizzy? Have you ever checked out the symptoms of Menieres disease? Have you checked out the side effects of your medications? Regards Maraika

Hi Mariaka
thank you for answering my post.
Yes Dr has checked out all these things. I do not feel dizzy it just happens. I am on so much meds that that could be the prob. I can not spell or remember things as much as i did befor either. I had to give up a very responsible job becaus of all of this.
I will be seeing a Nuro. I am waiting for an appointment. Perhaps he might have some anwers.

My last lot of meds is Epalim 700 mlg twice a day.
I was just wondering if anyone else had this problem.

Thank you again

My son is on Epilem 500x1.(Sodium Valproate) Seems to be prescribed in Aust. Yes loss of memory def. one part of Epilepsy (and/or AEDs). Loss of balance after a seizure and sometimes before - you are really unbalanced and walk like a drunk . I would listen to what your Neuro says as he specializes in diseases of the brain. G.Ps have too many other diseases and symptoms to know about. I would though still do some of my own research on medications and their reactions with each other. It pays to be well informed about your own health. Would be interested to know the outcome. Cheers Maraika
