Menopause and seizures

Post a new topicby jennifer2 on Mon Sep 10, 2007 1:25 pm

I'm 52 and seem to be starting to go through menopause I just started having seizures when I was 50. I've wondered if going through the hormonal changes of menopause will have any effect on my seizures I've been pretty much seizure free for 1 year, except for a couple of partial seizures. My doctor said that going through menopause would not have any effect on my seizures Has anyone had any experience with this life change and seizures? Thanks.

I agree with your doctor I can think of no reason why seizures should increase or decrease with menopause
