I have been on Trileptal for some time now along with the VNS. I still have some break-thru seizures but they are much better. The meds. by itself was not working for me. I have been on some 15 different meds. and none seem to work. I have no side effects besides it not working by itself (without the VNS)

I have used Trileptal but in 2 weeks had to be taken off of it because of a disorder called Stevens Johnson disorder. It is a rash that can affect organs and can in some cases MAY be fatal.I do wish you wish you luck with it.

Yes I am taking this medication. I was on the medication for a few years and then I quite taking it and no problems for A good two to three years (meaning no seizures or anything then about a week ago I had a seizure and I am back on the this medication.) Were you having any side affects to the med. right know I not for sure if I am or if I just upset with my self for having one and being put back on mediction.

I have just started Trileptal (been on it for 1 month now) after taking Topamax for a couple years. So far, the only problem I have had is not sleeping very well. I am still backing off the Topamax, so not on the Trileptal alone, but have had no seizures in the past month.
