I have lived with et [essential tremor] for just about two years now. ET affects every part of my body, even my speech. I feel glad at the end of every day when I can sleep and be without ET for a while. It is also a very exhausting condition as all sufferers will know.

It sounds as though you are having a very difficult time with ET...I am 59 and have had it since my teens. It has affected the course of my life...I should write a book!! You are so young...please, please get a second opinion and a third as to treatment...there are medications that help...just don't take xanax or any tranquilizers on a daily basis...(I went that route and it turned out disastrous.) There are things that can be done...even botox...life can be wonderful...don''t be a hermit....SS
