Hi Everyone,

My dosage of Primidon was increased from 100mg twice a day to 175mg twice a day about 2 months ago and can really see it has helped with the tremors on my left hand [primary] and the shadow tremor I experienced in my right hand is gone. My head still bobbles it's perpetual "No" and the remainder of my body still has tremor issues, but in a lesser intensity.

Deep inside me I felt exillerated from the ability to use my left hand. I started working in my clay again and on sunny days I was outside working on the deck I am building. I can actually touch my keyboard and not have the "dddddddddddddd" trying to pop into my text. The biggest benefit is this increase has helped tremendously with my depression This feeling is like coming out of a dark corner refreshed.

"Warning" don't get too excited about suddenly able to start finishing things started 5 or 7 years ago. I started all my projects that were hanging and was getting help from family and friends with the things I couldn't do. It was awesome and I was getting lots of things finished.

This past Sunday after watching a Comic on HBO, while laughing with my wife about the last comic skit, I stepped out our back door for a cigarette. I forgot my grandson and I left 1 2x6 out of the deck after installin 3 new posts for me. I never turn on the back light ... I know to step down on the deck ... but I forgot 1 board was left out. Duh? ... I was wearing my "Stupid is a Stupid does Tee" actually. I fell through the 6 inch opening between the floor joists as I stepped down onto the deck. OMG! Ouch! If I could have this on film from the deck and house views .. I would have won $$$.

Yes, I hurt my dumb-ass, fracturing my left knee, tore my rotor cuff in left shoulder and have injuries to the left ankle and hip socket. So, all my little tasks have been put on the shelf again I guess until later this summer. Blah! The good news is with the bit of pain medication I am currently on ... I am able to rest my hands on the keyboard completely which is awesome. While in ER answering the routine questions and the nurse got to the part, "Do you smoke?", I replied "yes I do, and know cigarettes will kill me, I just didn't know it could be so sudden. I also put a picture of my grand-daughter who lives in Texas as my wallpaper to keep my spirits up. Again this is my blog so you may see my deck progress and a wee bit of my life.

SORRY!!! I hate to tell you this but I am ahving a very good laugh at YOUR expense!!!! Take good care of YOU..and for goodness sake quit smoking..it does kill!..haha or at least causes soem to ummmm...take a fall??

I actually posted my little "Smoker's Fall" to bring a bit of humor to our threads.
I did find out that I also fractured my left shoulder ... and will see a surgeon next week to decide what should be done.

Presently I am doing ok ... driving the wife crazy about watering my backyard ... because she cannot see well ... she thinks everything is thriving until it turns brown ... agggg!!

I have tons a pain ... but my tremors are still doing well with the medication increase ... haha! Guess I cant have everything ... but I revel in pain ... so its not a real big deal ... I may take up sky diving next ...

If I told you that I have taken 4 falls in the last 8 months woudl it help your situation?? hahaha...I am so sorry you broke shoulder..My hubby broke leg last yr. He now has a 6 in plate and 9 bolts holding his knee and leg together...we just dont heal like we used to!..take care of YOU!

I too wobble and fall on a normal basis ... suddenly like I have vertigo ... but this fall was from my own stupidity ... I am starting to notice my head is bobbling more ... but it may be because of the pain and anxiety I am having to deal with ... I am already sick of the pain pills so I have opted to just deal with it than to be in the drugged state it leaves me in.

I am very interested in the acupuncture that is one of our threads ... that would be so much better than taking medication for ET's ... just a Chi tune up ever month or so would be awesome ...

I believe in karma way before "My Names Earl" ...

I am checking into it a lil more..wowwwwwww...wouldn't that be wonderful if it truly helped!!! I would give it a go!..My head also is bobbling more than it was..uggggggggg...I dont think others notice, but I feel it. My chin shakes pretty badly at times..especially in the dentist chair..hahaq..I had to hold chin still with hand while he worked..that was horrible..but ..I laughed it off! Take care of yoruself and hope you and the wife have a wonderful 4th!!!

Hello Deb and the ET Gang...

I just got back from a neighborhood 4th of July Breakfast get together in the park behind our house. It was pretty awesome to actually get out ... even though my PTSD usually prevents me from huge social gatherings ... Linda actually got to see some of our neighbors for the first time ... her first retina tear was 2 months after moving into our new house. So it was pretty awesome for her to meet and see some of our neighbors after a 2 year battle with her eyes. Yea!

My tremors are starting to effect my hands again. Sux! ...but it could be the intense pain in my left shoulder ... who knows at this point. I am having problems eating again and my hands are bouncing on the keyboard again and my old Grey bobble head is rockin' to it's own beat ... which allowed me to make jokes with total strangers this morning at the breakfast ... saying "I drank too many Jolts or that I am trying to quit smoking today!" ha-ha NOT! ... cigarette smoking had it shot at me and only broke a few bones ... why quite now ... plus, thanks to smoking I don't have to do honey-dos for quite a while. haha!

It appears I may have surgery next week on my shoulder ... will find out Monday ... boy I sure screwed my summer up for sure ... no base jumping 4 awhile ... ha-ha

I hope all have a wonderful 4th ... I intend to go to my oldest daughter's house this evening and possible get a little tipsy and enjoy fireworks.

HEY JOHN!!! I am so glad for Linda that she got to actually see her neighbors!..YEA!!!!!!!!!! Did you get a tad tipsy last nite?? you know that helps the tremors so if folks thought you had enough you can just say.." It is for medicinal purposes!"..haha
Our 4th was quite non-eventful..hubby had to work. HArd to take off on busy day like the 4th..AND it was a friday nite..makes cop work more ummmmmm...BUSY..haha...My parents came over and I grilled burgers and Brats...had all the fixins which led to wearing my potato salad...it was one of thsoe days.. a BAD SHAKING DAY in spite of the meds..guess I should ahve had that glass of wine...but I ahd a ehadache anyway so didn't dare..lol..Then we sat out on back deck and watche dthe fireworks off Skyline Drive..was a lovely nite for it . Today I am being lazy..cant remember when I have been this lazy...sat out on deck with a good book..THE SHACK!...
Well...nice hearign from you and I will keep you in my prayers for yoru surgery!..LEt us knwo how it goes when you can!

My tremors are still about the same ... am noticing a bit more shaking in my left hand again ... the increase never did help my head on it's bobbling ... but I guess I can't have everything.

Linda is doing better with the vision in her left eye though she has a lot of blood floating in her eye behind the lens ... from the retina repair several months back ... which may require further surgery at a later date. The great news is she can see again ... she does have 2 stress spots on her retina, but if she is careful ... the Doctor said they will heal.

I have not heard from the Doctor about my MRI this past Tuesday on the soft tissue damage to my left shoulder yet ... I do know I shattered out the back side of my Glenoid from my Monday visit and will be scheduled for surgery as soon as the VA will OK the surgery. This so blows! It sorta looks like the Florida Keys .. without US-1 ... haha!

I notice too that very few people actually write in these threads ... just read ... just a "HI" could brighten someone's day with ET's ... so don't be bashful ... we all shake ... I am learning not to let my ET's spoil my quality of life ... well ... what I have left ... I can Shake, Rattle and Roll now ...
