Diane,
I don't have any scientific data to support my theory, but my throat clearing started about the same time as my tremors. My tremors started as "yes-yes" with my head. I have now progressed from my head tremors to tremors in my hands also. The right is worse than the left. Writing is something I avoid if at all possible. Typing is getting harder to do. I drink with a straw when I am out in public and at home I have water bottles with lids on them.

I still have a lot of trouble with foods. Using my hands makes my head tremors worse. I had ice cream all over me the other night (thank goodness I was at home). So far I do pretty good with thick creamy soups and salads when I go out. Sandwiches aren't too bad out in public. I don't order steak anymore since I am afraid I might cut myself. Oh well, I need to get my cholesterol down anyway.

I am/was a nurse. but had to quit in July of 2008. It was hard to accept the fact that I could no longer work in a profession that I love. It has been hard to get used to being at home most of the time.

I have other health issues, but I kept on going. Maybe tremors was the only thing that the Lord knew would slow me down. I had to see a psychologist for a while and if I am still doing as well as I have been when I go back next month, it will be my last visit. HOORAY. I think I have my life put back in order again. Not the same as it was, but I have manageable goals for myself now.
