Do I have ET? (More Info Inside)

Post a new topicby PhazzedOut on Mon May 18, 2009 2:57 am

Hello, my name is Rodrigo Hernandez and I believe I have ET I do not have enough money to go to a neurologist or anything but I would like to know if my problem is the same as yours.

Here are somethings that happen. When I talk, I sometimes head jerk instead of repeating words which is what people that stutter usually do. I have had this problem ever since I remember. I have been going to speech therapy and it doesn't really work, also the funding for speech therapy in my schools were not great so I didn't spend much time with them. I usually do the head jerk more in situation were it is very stressful. I absolutely can not present in front of a class, and now that I am in college I have to do more and more presenting and soon I will have to take a foreign language class which I am sure will involve speaking and also English 1C which is Oral Communications and I can't perform that. I stammer or stutter less when I am with friends in a less stressful environment. (I say stuttering or stammering because that is what I call it but you guys call it tremors so just think that when I say it) Also high emotions like Enraged or extremely sad makes it much worse. Also my girlfriend noticed that performing a certain act that I don't stammer at all. (This act is very common among a young couple, you guys can figure it out) One more thing, I only have the head jerk which is btw extremely embarrassing and it was great form of entertainment for kids when I was in elementary and also gave people reason to beat me up so if there is anyway to get rid of it please to tell.
