Re: ET Meds (Clonazepam)jmar,
Clonazepam is the same as Klonopin. It makes me sleepy. For example, I sleep at night for about 10 hours, take a nap around noon for about 4 hours, then go back to sleep again at night. Not a fun way to live. I am only on 0.25 mg three times a day. Other things that I had trouble with was a headache every day, my knees hurt worse than normal, and I had an episode of bronchitis that the MD was worried might go into pnumonia. Luckily, with antibiotics it cleared up . I started weaning my self off of Clonazepam 2 weeks ago and started back on my Primadone. I did see a slight improvement with the Clonazepam, but it was not enough to continue with the drug. Maybe the improvement was because I slept all the time and my tremors go away when I am lying down or in a recliner. It can be addicting and your body develops a tolerance to it and the dose has to be increased. Every thing that I read said it was for short term use. Different medications work differently for different people. Maybe it will help you. I just know that it was not the drug for me. My husband commented this morning that I was doing so much better without the Clonazepam. Medications also can react differently on men and women. I am a 60 year old female. lilred (Helen)
