Tremors in the headI am so glad I came accross this site. I just started having tremors for the last few months. I have them in my head and my doctor has done all other testing to confirm it is not related to something else. I have been taking effexor for several years for anxiety and depression and my doctor felt perhaps I could change to another medication to see if that would reduce the tremors. I have been going through withdrawal I think and went from 150 g of effexor to 37.5 effexor and 100 g Wellbutrin and it has not reduced the tremors and it seems to have increased. I would love to hear from others as I feel somewhat lost here. I am 44 years of age and have a high stress job and teenage children lol. Thanks for listening :)
Re: Tremors in the headI don't know how to say this but I really would like to hear from someone who can give me some understanding about what is happening to my body and how I can deal with this. I have a referral to a neurologist but it will take forever to see someone...meanwhile life goes on. I hope there is someone that can take the time to write me back.
thank you.
Re: Tremors in the headHello,
I have head tremors. I have suffered from tremors in my hands for some time now. My head tremors have recetly been getting alot worse. I have been taking Citalopram for about 4 months for anxiety, only half a tablet a day. I was first perscribed Propranolol to take 3 times a day but kept forgetting to take it more than once a day so thats when I went onto Citalopram. I have started taking Propranolol again too though after reading that it is good for tremors. The doctor has given me a slow releasing one now which I only have to take once a day!, I am starting that tomorrow and I hope I see a differnce!, Doc is talking about sending me to see a neurologist though which I am hoping he will refer me next time I go has I would love some proper answers! xx
Re: Tremors in the headHello Heiditm,
I to have head tremors and tremors in the rest of my body and it's from ET, I have had ET for 6 years and every year ET seems to be getting worse. I have tried all different medication but nothing seems to help so as for now I just have to take it day by day and let me tell you it's not easy. I am 200mgs. Zoloft and it helps me get through the really bad days. My suggestion to you is definitely see a neurologist as soon as you can and try antidepressants to help you deal with your tremors. I am on SSI because I can't work and 3 1/2 years ago I had to start using a cane for balance. When I was diagnosed I was told that my tremors might stay the same as they were or they could get worse and they didn't stay the same. When the doctor told me I had ET I thought I was alone until I found this site and then I knew I wasn't alone anymore. I will pray for you because ET is not an easy thing to deal with.
