Whole body shakes:(Hi everyone,
I am wondering if anyone out there has the same problem I do with ET? Like all of you I have my good days and I have my bad days but lately my bad days seem to out weigh the good. I was diagnosed with ET in 2004 but my doctor says I have probably had it since childhood although I didn't really notice it. I have tremors from head to toe, the only thing that I don't have is tremor in my voice yet, but I figure it's just a matter of time for that too. I have to walk with a cane because my legs shake and I can't keep my balance and as far as depression if I wasn't on 200mgs of Zoloft I would have a serious case of depression I also want to let you know that it may take me an hour or so to do the dishes but I am NOT going to let my ET get the best of me. So please if there is anyone that has whole body shakes let me know. Oh by the way as far as meds nothing has worked for me yet but my doctor is still searching. I have taken Inderal/Inderal LA, Primidone, seperately and when that didn't work I was taking them together only together they made tremors worse. I would appreciate some feedback thanks for reading. Hugs to all Laurie
Re: Whole body shakes:(Hey Deb,
I know you are and let me say it helps me to know that I have someone like you on my side:) For so long I didn't have anyone to talk to about ET and since I found this website I feel a whole lot better. Hugs to you Deb Laurie
Re: Whole body shakes:(laurie...
have u considered dbs? i have tried several meds... none control or stop tremor for me very well... alcohol (which i no longer abuse) is the one thing i can count on to stop it or control it for however many hours... but i try to stay away from alcohol now as much as poss. i will have a glass or two of an alcoholic drink in a social setting of the unknown. i am looking at natural substnaces now to try and help my et... anyone try skullcap? valerian? lady slipper? clacium with mag and d vit are suppose to have benefit... i tried teh B vit route and it helped in the beginning then not... felt more like a placebo effect. meds i tired: propanolol mysoline 3 x ugh!!!!! botox 3x yuck! neurontin xanax klonopin (i shoulda died from withdrawals from evil klonopin, no lie 80-90 w/d symtoms for 6-7 months). i found my own way outta that hell after being abandoned by western med docs. ~M
Re: Whole body shakes:(Medicines do give a temporary relieve and sometimes they do cure, but they have side-effects too...But if u really want to remove it completely, get into bigtime yoga and pranayaam. Anulom Vilom for half an hour daily will definitely help you a lot. U will see results in one month. Do yoga and pranayaam daily with a good yoga instructor.
