Re: Any luck with Lyrica?

Hi Linda,
I hear you about lyrica. I have been on it for about 2 years, and they played with my dose not too long ago. I am now on 75mg 2x a day, and doing ok! I don't know how long you gave it a try for, but i went back and forth with it for a long time...I also have RSD and Fibro. I get these lido. infusions once a month, and they have worked great for me (so far):) I so feel for you, but at least you are doing something about it! You started a group! That is Great! I just started with this site bout 4 months ago.
I have found many nice people here, and a great support system. I never spoke to anyone before about my RSD or Fibro. until I found this site..I had a flair up 10/30/08 and after that i felt i need some help. If I can help you in any way, questions or treatments, Please feel free!!
I will Pray for you along with all here, and Welcome!

I can really understand where you are coming from. I am currently taking Lrica . I was diagnosed with RSD. I am 48 years of age, F. Minnesota. The lyrica seems to work in helping me sleep at nite but as far as what it does for the daytime, I don't think it does much good. I am also married to a wonderful husband that does almost everything during the weekends and also my 18 year old son. I sometimes want to cry seeing them do things for me. I just feel so hopeless sometimes. Well I sure hope you do well. Hopefully we can become friends.

I have been suffering with fybromyalgia for past 2 yrs and just recently was diagnosed. I have only been on lyrica for 1 week so not sure if it will help.Wanted you to know that if you go to the nearest hospital and ask about the map program they will help you get medicine through the drug companies for free and shipped right to your door.It is a horrible condition to go through, I myself am suffering both physically and financially my thoughts are with you aimee

It helped at the begining some. But them started not to work. I am now maxed out on it and it dosent seem to help at all anymore. My dr told me to do streaches. and ya tried them and couldnt move for 3 days, I am seeing a psychologist and it helps a lil justto be able to talk to someone about what i am feeling and going threw. I know it sounds silly BUt she also has it. so I am talking to someone who totally understands what i am going threw. she dosent seem to have it as bad as i do, I do know there are different degrees of it. Talked to SSI and tey dont consider it a disability. ya ok. i told the guy to live in my shoes ffor one day and hed change his mind. My dr now wants to do a spinal tap to rule out ms. I have had all the other tests for it and they have all come back normal. BUt my joints totally lock and and i can straighten them out, Yes it does happen with firbo But not as often and isnt really considered a normal symptm of it. so he again wants to rule anythingelse out. Gl guys Lyrica helped me a lil at first but it dosent anymore and i am maxed out on it now .
God Bless yall. and i hope it gets better for all of us
